Early Life and Career

Little is known about Anna’s childhood or how she came about to develop an interest in broadcasting. She grew up with two sisters, and when they were young their father would often take them on road trips.

After completing her education, she then began a broadcasting career, and earned popularity with the New York City-based show “Good Day New York” which aired on Fox 5. She served mainly as an entertainment reporter for the program, the first morning newscast to air on Fox 5, usually following the same general news, weather and traffic format. There are also feature news and the entertainment news items from 7-9 in the morning. They then do celebrity and politician interviews, and other feature segments.

Other Fox Projects

While working for Fox 5, Anna also served on Fox Business, mainly on its website on which she hosted the program “Fast Track”, which she also served as a producer and reporter for the Fox News Channel. She became a frequent guest on the late night talk show “Red Eye with Greg Gutfield”, which features various guests and panelists as they talk about the latest in news, including pop culture and entertainment, religion, politics, sports, and business. Later on, the show would be hosted by Tom Shillue after Greg Gutfield’s departure, eventually leading to the show’s cancellation.

Gilligan would also move on to become the host of a new show on IPTV entitled “Meettheboss”. The program started in 2010, and initially stemmed from a business networking tool called meettheboss.com, which was managed by GDS International.

The program is aimed at executives from around the world, covering various topics including strategy, governance, human capital, marketing, technology, innovation, sales and leadership. It features a mix of one-on-one interviews, leadership training, and other segments. They often feature CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, along with other entrepreneurs and business leaders. They also promote a website on which members can access interviews with leaders of industry, along with editor blogs and articles.

Personal Life

For her personal life, it is known that Anna was formerly in a relationship with Steve Guttenberg,  best known for his work in various Hollywood films during the 1980s including “Short Circuit”, “Three Men and a Baby”, and “Three Men and a Little Lady”. In 2015, it was announced during a segment of “Good Day New York” that she was marrying another Fox 5 News anchor Steve Lacy, and they were married a few months after the announcement.

Anna’s sister is reporter and occasional actress Kate Gilligan who has appeared in a few notable projects such as in “Louie” mainly in a similar television anchor role.

Her brother-in- law is theatrical actor Steve Campbell, who is known to have worked with teachers such as Paul Rudd and Ron Leibman.

Anna mentioned that she is allergic to cats in a cat adoption segment, which also announced her engagement to Steve Lacy.
