Michaela was born to an accountant mother and a contractor father, while she also has an older sister, who she claims to be one of her biggest inspirations to date. As for her early education, she attended Parkland High School in her hometown, and having matriculated went on to study at NYU Tisch School of Fine Arts in New York City, from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater. Concerning the passion that would later become her profession, she started acting as early as the age of six, mostly in school plays, and apparently having performed brilliantly more than a few times, she became a community-wide actress, which helped her land a number of small roles in commercials that were filmed in the vicinity.
