Who is Dougray Scott’s wife Claire Forlani from “Mallrats”?

Claire Forlani was born on the 1st July 1972, in Twickenham, London, England, and is an actress best recognized for starring in the role of Susan Parrish in “Meet Joe Black” (1998), playing Queen Igraine in the TV series “Kamelot” (2011), and as Lauren Hunter in the TV series “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2011-2012), among many other differing roles she has secured so far in her career.

Early Life, Family, and Education

Of Italian and English ancestry, Claire grew up in London raised by her parents, Pier Luigi Forlani, a music manager, and Barbara Dickinson. When she was only 11 years old, she enrolled at the Arts Educational School in London, where she started studying acting, parallel with which she was also very active in attending dancing classes, and as she excelled, Claire appeared on stage in productions of “Orpheus in the Underworld” and “The Nutcracker”.

Career Beginnings

Claire’s career really started in the early ‘90s, with a minor role in the TV series “Press Gang” (1991-1992), followed by playing Katarina in the film “Gypsy Eyes”, starred next to Jim Metzler and George DiCenzo, which persuaded her that an acting career was for her career. Encouraged by her immediate success, Claire and her family moved to the USA and settled in San Francisco, and she was soon cast in the series “JFK: Reckless Youth”, and then in the film “Police Academy: Mission to Moscow”. She continued quite successfully, honing her skills and building a name for herself in films such as “Mallrats” (1995), then “Basquiat” in 1996.

Rise to Prominence

Claire eventually reached stardom with the part of Susan Parish in the fantasy drama film “Meet Joe Black”, co-starring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins, a role which launched her to prominence, and enabled her further successful roles such as Monica in the film “Mystery Men”, and the lead role in the romantic comedy film “Boys and Girls”. Nothing changed much for Claire in the early 2000s, taking her career to the next level with leading roles in such successful films as “Antitrust” (2001), then the drama fantasy “Northfork” and “The Pentagon Papers” starring next to James Spader, both in 2003, while in 2005 she teamed up with Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam in the sports crime-drama film “Green Street Hooligans”. The following year she tried her luck on the small screen with the part of Dr. Peyton Driscoll in the crime-drama series “CSI: NY” (2006-2010), appearing in 11 episodes of the highly acclaimed series.

Continual Success

Now an accomplished actress with several successful appearances credited to her name, Claire continued with smart choices when it comes to roles, and in the second half of the 2000s featured in such films as the action crime-comedy film “Beer for My Horses” (2008), and the drama film “Flashbacks of a Fool”, in the same year. Claire was then chosen for the part of Queen Igraine in the fantasy drama series “Kamelot”, and also started portraying Lauren Hunter in “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2011-2012). In recent years, Claire hasn’t had any problems securing high-profile roles, becoming one of the leading ladies in Hollywood, and starring in the drama series “Hawaii Five-O”, then in the action adventure film “Crystal Inferno” in 2017, and is now working on several projects, including the film “Five Feet Apart”, scheduled for release in March 2019.
