Born in Logan, Utah, Ibanez attended Quinnipiac University at Hamden, Connecticut. While taking up a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she became an intern for NBC Sports and served as a student correspondent for MSNBC News from 2006 to 2007.

Upon graduation in 2007, Ibanez started her career at WWLP-TV based in Springfield, Massachusetts. Initially she was a producer for the network, but was soon promoted to be an anchor after four short months. Despite having a steady career as an anchor, she decided to leave in 2010, but these early years as an anchor helped establish her career and also her net worth.


Ibanez then went to work at a public relations firm Coltrin & Associates in New York City, serving as the company’s managing director for the next two years. Her time working in public relations also helped in increasing her wealth.

In 2012, Ibanez decided to go back to news reporting, and worked as a news anchor for “News 12 Connecticut.” During her time with the network, she became a notable anchor, working in three live morning broadcasts. After two years, she left in 2014, and transferred to the Fox News network.
