If it looks like I’m trying to keep it together here, it’s because I am. Seth Hanchey’s story hit way too close to home. An endurance athlete out for an Ironman training ride, he was hit by a car, thrown into a concrete bridge and suffered significant brain damage. Today, it’s hard for Seth to speak but his message rings out loud and clear: “Don’t feel sorry for yourself. Don’t quit. Find new challenges.” He is charming and funny and social and strong. He leaves Seattle with four powerlifting medals. And a new fan in me. @specialolympicsusagames (?: @miriam_greenfield)
