A Journey to CBS

Aside from her work with KNWA, she also worked at the station KATV located in Little Rock, where she did anchor, co-hosting and reporting work. Afterwards, she joined the NBC affiliate KARK-TV also in Little Rock in 2011, serving as an evening news anchor. According to an interview, Dean’s work there would be instrumental in helping her take the next step in her career, and she was very proud to have been a part of the team for two years until in 2013, when she was offered the chance to join CBS.

Dean joined CBS as the weekday evening anchor, often alongside Chris May in the station’s various evening newscasts. She also served with the sister channel, CW associate WPSG, replacing Susan Barnett who left the station after her contract was not renewed. Jessica then moved to Philadelphia, and would become one of the anchors of “Eyewitness News” alongside Ukee Washington, and of “the Digital Brief”, which is part of the channel’s online website CBSPhilly.com, presenting various daily news updates. Thanks to her work, she has participated in several high profile events as a reporter, including Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia, and presenting during the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
