Parker joined Big Nugget Mine company when he was only 16 years old, and almost immediately became a part of the famed reality TV series “Gold Rush: Alaska”. Firstly he was only a hand to his ill grandfather, John, but once he left the mine and later passed away, Parker took over the Big Nugget mine and was named in charge of all the operations. As he was grew older, Parker decided not to attend college and used his college fund to start his own business, and improve the machines at the Big Nugget mine.
