It’s a shame all the way around. The part that is the worst is taking the son to avoid paying child support—I can see Steve H doing that. But as far as the money goes. I think the buck stopped in 2005. After they got divorced—whatever he made was his alone.
It’s got to hurt seeing him with all that money and thinking you could have been there. But that’s over. He owes you nothing monetarily. I think one day he will reap for taking your son—but maybe not. I think you could write a tell all book about your experience. Call it “The Price Was Wrong”…that’ll teach him. Put everything thing in it…unless there was a gag order —hey you’re good to go! Until then stay prayerful.
