Tamara Taylor Wiki: Early Life, Parents, Sister, and Education
Tamara grew up in her hometown, but after her parents divorced, she went on to live with her mother and stepfather Eddie Taylor. She has a stepsister and stepbrother, but grew up as an only child, since she was introduced to these two later in life. When it comes to her education, Tamara dropped out of high school as she wanted to give herself a chance to succeed as a model.
Career BeginningsHer modeling efforts soon led to an acting career, her debut coming in the late ‘80s in the television film that chronicles the life of Lyndon Johnson, entitled “LBJ: The Early Years”. The next year she made a minor, uncredited appearance in the TV series “A Different World”, but felt the first rays of success in 1996, when she was chosen for the part of Grace Wilcox in the TV drama series “Party of Five”. She remained in the series only for a season, but it was just enough to secure her a debut role in the film “Senseless” in 1998, portraying Janice in the romantic comedy. The upcoming years Tamara spent building a name for herself by appearing in the TV series “Dawson’s Creek”, and then in the biopic about Dorothy Dandridge, entitled “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge”, starring Halle Berry, Brent Spiner and Klaus Maria Brandauer.
