Born Jordan Mathewson on the 24th April 1991, in Montana, USA, he is a video gamer and YouTuber, who has amassed 915,000 subscribers on his official YouTube channel. He has been known for playing games such as Call of Duty 4 and Halo, among other first-person shooter games. Besides Kootra, he ran another YouTube channel, TheCreatureHub, but stopped uploading videos to this channel in 2017.

There isn’t much information about Kootra’s childhood, this includes the identity of his parents and whether this YouTube star has any siblings or not. However, it is known that he spent five years in Scotland before he and his family returned to the US and settled in Denver, Colorado. Before he chose YouTube as a career, Kootra was working as an assistant greenkeeper at a golf course.

YouTube CareerAs early as 2008, Jordan started his YouTube channel Kootra, and began posting Call of Duty 4 machinimas videos. Soon his channel started gaining attention, and his videos were displayed on the Machinima main channel. Encouraged by this early success, Kootra continued uploading videos, switching from the Call of Duty game series to Halo, which proved to be even more successful. He began to improve gaming skills, and in no time was seen playing other games, including Left 4 Dead, and Modern Warfare 2. Thanks to his skills, he received a contract from Machinima Respawn, which resulted in him collaborating with other YouTubers.
His official YouTube channel now has videos which have been viewed more than 330 million times, which have significantly increased his popularity and wealth as well. Some of his most popular videos include “MW2 Insane Tactical Knife Throwing”, which now has over two million views, then “Craft Spice (Old Spice Minecraft Machinima Parody)“, which has been viewed more than 1.5 million times, and “MW2 Sentry Gun Madness FAIL (Commentary w/Kootra and Jek1e)”, which has just over 1.2 million views, among many other videos.

Creature LLC and Second YouTube ChannelWith his career at its peak, Kootra started the company Creature LLC, comprised of people with the same interest and passion in playing games. He started the YouTube channel TheCreatureHub, back in 2011, and attained a following of more than a million subscribers, with his videos having been viewed more than 575 million times, also contributing to his popularity and wealth. However, in July 2017, he and his crew decided to leave TheCreatureHub and have stopped uploading videos. Nevertheless, they will be remembered through such videos as “50 Lush Bath Bombs”, which had more than six million views, then “Fart Spray Prank Gone Wrong”, with over 2.7 million, and “Seamus gets a Midnight Snack”, with two million views, among many other videos viewed over a million times.
