Tauheed Epps was born on the 12th September 1977, in College Park, Georgia USA, and under his stage nickname 2 Chainz is a rapper, who is probably best recognized for being half of the hip hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside his friend Earl ‘Dolly Boy’ Conyers, and who have released the hit single “Duggle Bag Boy” through their friend Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace label. 2 Chainz is also known for releasing solo studio albums such as “Based On A T.R.U. Story”, “B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time” and “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music”.
Early Life and Childhood2 Chainz spent his childhood in his hometown, where he was always caught between being a good kid who was fulfilling his obligations, and growing up ‘on the streets’ where he was getting into all sorts of trouble. He went to North Clayton High School, and was actually one of the best pupils in his class. He started playing basketball for the school team, and became one of the best players too, however, that was the time when he was introduced to real ghetto and street life. He started using and dealing in marijuana, and when he was only 15 years old, he was arrested for carrying a large amount of cocaine. Nevertheless, he still had a scholarship to Alabama State University, where he continued to play basketball from 1995 to 1997, however, got into more trouble there, which he hasn’t spoken about, but had to transfer to Virginia State University, from which he graduated.
Speaking about his career, music was always his greatest passion, so he co-founded the hip hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside his friend Earl ‘Dolly Boy’ Conyers in 1997, and adopting the name ‘Tity Boi’. After the group released its debut independent album “United We Stand, United We Fall” in 2002, they were noticed by one of the most successful people in the industry at the time, Ludacris, who recorded several songs with the duo, including promoting their album on his own radio station.
The hip hop duo was soon signed by Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace record label, which was widely popular around the globe, and through which they released their debut album “Supply & Demand” in October of 2007, with the hit single “Duffle Bag Boy” featuring Lil Wayne. The album peaked at No. 27 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Two years later out came their second studio album – “Flight 360: The Takeoff” – but in the following year Epps left to pursue a solo career.
Solo Career and Rise to Prominence

He released his debut solo studio album “Based on a T.R.U. His album “Rap Or Go To The League” is scheduled for a release late in 2018.

2 Chainz has released ten mixtape – two of the most popular are “T.R.U. REALigion” (2011), which debuted at No. 58 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and “Daniel Son; Necklace Don” (2016). Speaking about his EPs, the first entitled “Freebase” was released in 2014, and two years later out came “Felt Like Cappin” and “Hibachi For Lunch”. Most recently, he released “The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It” (2018), which reached No. 58 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

The Real University
In addition, in 2015, 2 Chainz expanded his involvement in the music industry by establishing his own record label called The Real University, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, starting by signing Cap.1 rapper, and releasing his album entitled “Bird Bath EP”.
