Who is Ryan Merriman?

Ryan Earl Merriman was born on the 10th April 1983, in Choctaw, Oklahoma USA, and is an actor, perhaps still best known to the world as Blake Kellogg in the TV series “The Mommies” (1993-1995), then as Kevin Fischer in the film “Final Destination 3” (2006), and most recently as Ian Thomas in the TV series “Pretty Little Liars” (2010-2014).

Ryan Merriman Bio: Early Life, Parents, and Education

Of German, Irish, English and Scottish ancestry, Ryan is the second child and only son born to Earl and Nonalyn Merriman. He entered show business at the age of eight, when he started appearing in commercials and local theater, so it didn’t take too much for Ryan to become a professional actor.

Career Beginnings

Two years following his first appearance in the entertainment industry, Ryan secured his first recurring role, as Blake Kellogg in the TV romantic comedy series “The Mommies”, which he portrayed for two years. In 1996 Ryan was chosen for the part of young Jarod in the TV drama sci-fi mystery series “The Pretender”, appearing in 50 episodes in four years, but meantime featuring in other projects, including the television films “What’s Right with America” (1997), “Night Ride Home” and “Smart House” both in 1999. Ryan continued to build-up his career with the start of the 2000s, moving forward with a co-starring role in the television film “Rocket’s Red Glare”, and then the lead role in the comedy-drama film “The Luck of the Irish” in 2001. The following years he was Myles Barton in the horror film “Halloween: Resurrection”, while in 2005 he was Jake in the horror film “The Ring Two”, starring Naomi Watts, David Dorfman and Sissy Spacek. Having seen that roles in horror films suited him, he starred in another horror “Final Destination 3” in 2006, and then “Backwoods” in 2008.

Rise to Prominence

Ryan used the momentum from the 2000s and several successful horror film appearances to land the part of Ian Thomas in the TV series “Pretty Little Liars” (2010-2014), which became one of his most prominent roles. Concurrently, Ryan was active in search of other projects, and in 2011 starred in the comedy-drama film “Tomorrow’s End”, then the comedy film “Cheesecake Casserole” (2012), and had a supporting role in the biopic about Jackie Robinson, entitled “42” and starring Chadwick Boseman, T.R. King and Harrison Ford, which was a complete success, launching Ryan to stardom. Since then, he has featured in a number of films, though only a few made an impact on his career. He starred in the sci-fi drama film “Domain” in 2017, and in the comedy series “In the Rough”. He is currently working on several projects, including the horror film “Portal” and the western film “Palominas”, both scheduled for release late in 2018.

Do You Know How Rich Ryan Merriman Is?

Some of his most profitable projects are the films “The Luck of the Irish”, then “Final Destination 3”, and “42”, and his appearances in the TV series “The Pretender” and “Pretty Little Liars”. Merriman’s net worth is ~$2 million.
