In 2005, she matriculated from Trinity Christian Academy and decided to attend the University of Missouri located in Columbia, where she studied broadcast journalism with a view to pursuing a career in the field. She studied for four years and eventually graduated in 2009, during which time she also worked, as a sports anchor and reporter for local station KOMU-TV. She also covered other programs such as “Friday Night Lights”, for which she mainly handled camera work. She also had a weekly sports radio show entitled “The Closers”, as well as covering two summer training camps with the Dallas Cowboys. While working with the Cowboys, she was the on-air reporter for the Cowboys CBS segment entitled “The Blitz”.
